DriveON Motorcycle Safety Inspection & Certificate – $200 + HST
Ensure your motorcycle meets Ontario's road safety standards with our DriveON Motorcycle Safety Inspection and Certificate service. Priced at $200 + HST, this fee includes a full safety inspection and the official certificate only. Please note that any necessary repairs, parts, or labour are not included in this cost.
This inspection does not serve as a warranty or guarantee of the motorcycle’s condition, but it is a required step for legal registration and road use under several circumstances.
When is a Safety Inspection Certificate Required?
You must have a valid safety certificate to:

Register a rebuilt motorcycle

Transfer ownership of a used motorcycle to a new owner

Register a motorcycle in Ontario that was purchased from another province or country

Change the motorcycle’s status from “unfit” to “fit”

Put license plates on the vehicle
Important Information

The certificate is valid for 36 calendar days from the date of inspection.

If the certificate expires before you register your vehicle, you will be required to pay for a new inspection and certificate.

This is a regulatory requirement under Ontario’s DriveON program.
